Thomas Named To Team USA

Tim Thomas was named to the Team USA Olympic hockey team after the Winter Classic on Friday. Every player who was named had a child with their jersey on expect for Thomas, who skated out of the locker room wearing his own USA jersey and Bruins goalie equipment.

Thomas will more than likely be backing up Buffalo's outstanding Ryan Miller. The Kings Johnathan Quick was also named to the USA squad. Here is the USA Men's Olympic hockey roster:

It should also be known that the poor child who was wearing Phil Kessel's jersey was booed, I felt bad for him.

So, my boyfriend is a big leafs fan, and obviously he loves it that kessel is helpin get his leafs out of a slump (that seemed neverending, but then stalberg came around and he was a little slice of heaven for them too) and of course, I'm a bruins fan, with a bit of scorn for kessel (again, obviously) but I mean, don't boo the poor kid that had to wear his jersey. he's gonna help USA out with goals, so it's kind of like booing your country.

...he's still an asshole, though. but still, don't boo a child. that probably wrecked his whole experience :[
