JP Smitty's, a popular bar and grill in Tulsa, Oklahoma, failed to change the channel on one of its thirty-seven TVs Monday after it aired a re-run of Two and a Half Men. The Stanley Cup Finals followed, and the NHL was fortunate enough to score the highest ratings ever for a Game 2 as a result of the bar staff inadvertently leaving a TV tuned to NBC.

"It was one of our smaller TVs in the corner, so I guess no one noticed," said Tom Werton, one of JP Smitty's bartenders. "I'm sure a member of our staff was probably watching it during a break or something, and didn't mean to leave it on hockey. At least not on purpose."

Marcus Netherby, a server at JP Smitty's, confirmed he turned the television to NBC to watch Two and a Half Men 'when it was a little slow.'

"It was pretty dead in here, and honestly I just like that show," said Netherby. "It was one of my favorite episodes. Charlie Sheen was in all kinds of hot water with this one woman he was sleeping with, and his brother got really nervous about something. It was a good one. The stupid kid had some good one-liners too."

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman says he is confident the league can also achieve high marks for Game 3, provided a few people stop to watch the game while channel surfing and promptly fall asleep.
