Slidingsideways/FlickrAfter devoting their attention to the NFL labor negotiations, a full slate of college basketball games, and MLB spring training, the nation's sports media are just now getting around to reporting what moves took place at the NHL trade deadline.
"Things have been so busy around here with the NFL collective bargaining agreement expiring, Duke playing North Carolina in college hoops, and that dentist appointment I had last week I forgot to do a write-up of the deadline trades in the NHL," said Ken Dunlop of the Associated Press, who broke the news of Edmonton sending Dustin Penner to the Kings 8 days after the trade occurred. "But now that the Bassmaster Classic is over, I should have enough time for a story on the Bruins either helping or hurting their Stanley Cup chances by acquiring Chris Kelly and Tomas Kaberle a few weeks ago."
SI.com briefly included "Coyotes, Blue Jackets complete four-player swap last Monday" among their top headlines, before replacing it with a link to a Swimsuit Issue photo gallery.
