Starting out this season, Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints had several personal goals in mind. One of those goals was to be named mid-season MVP by several sportswriters and bloggers. Brees has performed well enough to earn that distinction from several people in printed publications as well as across the internet.
"You work hard to achieve team goals, but personal goals as well," said a very happy Brees as he browsed his favorite sports blogs on his laptop. "And a personal goal of mine was to play well enough to be named mid-season MVP by several sportswriters and bloggers. It is very fulfilling to have that finally happen."
Brees says his next goal is to be listed as a "hot" player on the Yahoo! Sports fantasy football page.
"I've been on that page before, and I'd like to get back. Winning games is important, but if I can't do it without putting up huge stats for all the fantasy geeks out there, then what's the point?"
