Crumbling Big 12 Makes Membership Offer To Several Trade Schools

Fearing the conference could be nearing its last days, the Big 12 has extended membership offers to several trade schools throughout the Midwest in a last ditch attempt to stay intact. Conference commissioner Dan Beebe admits he knows very little about these potential members, but is pretty sure each would be a valuable asset to the conference.

The media has questioned the decision by the UConn women's basketball team and its head coach Geno Auriemma to keep winning. By earning yet another national championship, UConn has extended its NCAA record winning streak to 78 games, but according to the media they are killing the game of basketball, and it would be best if they weren't so concerned with winning all the time.

A thrilling 101-96 double overtime victory by Kansas State over Xavier took its toll on the Wildcat players. Head coach Frank Martin says his team is much too worn out to continue any further, and has withdrawn from the NCAA Tournament.

Rejected NCAA Teams Make Last Second Push For Tournament Expansion

Spearheaded by a number of head coaches from teams that failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, a group is making a last second push to have the tournament expanded. The group hopes to expand the tournament to 96 teams by tomorrow, or maybe Thursday, but several coaches admit they'd be happy with any expansion as long as their school gets in.

After earning one of the last at-large bids for the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, an 11 seed, are set to play 6th seeded Xavier in the first round. Coach Tubby Smith says his players are excited to continue playing, and couldn't think of a better place for them to spend Spring Break than Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 
Kind-Hearted Analyst Thinks Every Bubble Team Deserves Tournament Bid

It is the job of the college basketball analyst, or bracketologist, to correctly predict which NCAA bubble teams deserve to be in, and which should be out of the tournament. But after years of telling teams they aren't good enough, Joe Lunardi of ESPN has become more sensitive to the feelings of rejected teams, and believes everyone on the bubble deserves a bid for this year's field of 65.

UConn men's basketball just submitted their most up to date resume to the NCAA, listing the team's biggest wins and top accomplishments. However the program has allegedly padded their resume in a deceitful attempt to get a tournament bid, claiming they pulled off a 10-point victory over the 1992 Dream Team in early December.

April 1 2010: UNC's head coach Roy Williams has a concern look during the National Invitational Tournament Championship game between the University of North Carolina Tarheels and University of Dayton Flyers at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Dayton defeated UNC 79-68.

After suffering another conference loss, this time at the hands of rival Duke, North Carolina head coach Roy Williams is desperate for help to hopefully rescue this season. He is asking that anyone willing to help make a $10 donation simply by texting "DUKESUX" to his personal cellphone.
