Adam Heibold, a writer for ESPN's Heat Index, says he is starting to become very suspicious that, in addition to the Miami Heat, as many as twenty-nine other teams are currently playing in the NBA.

"I started to piece it together during the last preseason game," said Heibold. "I took my eye off Dwyane Wade for a few seconds and noticed another team wearing jerseys that didn't say 'Heat' on them."

Curious if every game involved a second team, Heibold looked at game film from each preseason contest and, sure enough, not a single game turned out to be an intrasquad scrimmage.

"I guess the NBA thought the Heat's nationwide eighty-two game tour should involve other teams, but who wouldn't want to watch the Miami Heat battle the Miami Heat night in and night out?"

Heibold hopes this discovery doesn't hinder his ability to focus on Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh anytime he happens to tag along.
