Following several recent games with less than stellar attendance and hoping to have a full house for the team's home finale, the Tampa Bay Rays are offering $10 'if you just come to Tropicana Field and sit through an entire game. Please. We're begging you.'

"We've looked at doing something like this before, because our players feed off the energy of a sellout. A full stadium, whatever," said team president Matt Silverman. "They [the players] have voiced their frustrations throughout the season about the lack of fans in the seats, and our best idea to increase attendance is to hang a big sign outside the stadium that says 'Free Money'. Even if you don't like baseball, that's got to catch your eye."

If fans don't want to sit through a lengthy 3 hour game, the team is willing to give them five bucks or a coupon for a free carwash at any Tampa area Citgo.

"But they have to stay past the 3rd inning. It's our team policy for free handouts. Sorry if this inconveniences anyone."

So far, Mike from Clearwater is the only person to hint towards attending, but says he may back out because he really wants to stay home and watch Survivor.
