tyle_r/FlickrAccording to teammates, coaches and other staff, punter Tim Masthay has been strolling around Green Bay Packers team facilities with a cocky attitude after he punted to dangerous Chicago Bears return man Devin Hester, helping to hold him to only 16 return yards on 3 attempts.
"Ever since we got back to Green Bay, he's been trying to act all cool," said Packers long snapper Brett Goode, "Noisily chomping his gum, the styled hair, wearing sunglasses inside. And now he's got a leather biker jacket that says 'Ya Know Ya Wanna Be Me.'"
Masthay has barged into position meetings to throw in DVDs of his longest punts, walked through the athletic training room to question the manhood of the "namby-pambies" getting treatment, and has gone so far as to interrupt on-camera interviews of his teammates.
"Masthaaaaaaay in the hizzzooouusse!" Masthay shouted as he bumped quarterback Aaron Rodgers out of the way and stepped in front of the camera to hijack a post-practice interview. "Sorry I'm late, but I was working on my punting way over there with all the cool kids. They like to isolate me so these muscleheads don't disturb me perfecting my craft."
Masthay rambled aimlessly for several minutes, completely overstating the need for him to stay humble despite being a big shot, superstar NFL punter. He then snarled into the camera, winked, fired his index finger and thumb as though an imaginary pistol, and departed with his newfangled farewell of "Punt ya later, fool."
