Minnesota_Timberwolves_LogoMembers of the Minnesota Timberwolves say they will explore all options if there is no resolution to the NBA lockout—including playing overseas—assuming a team in Europe, Asia or South America would be desperate enough to sign them.

"If some team in Portugal or Spain or wherever was that hard-up, I guess I'd go play," said the 3rd leading scorer on a team that won only 17 games last year, Luke Ridnour. "But I have a hard time believing that a Euroleague team couldn't find a better player in all of Greece, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Russia, Turkey, Israel or maybe even France. And Bulgaria. Those guys can ball."

Players say they "haven't even considered" any potential problems they may encounter by playing overseas—the hassle of moving to another country, adjusting to a new culture, and dealing with language barriers—because the possibility of having to do so is far too unlikely.

Said forward Wesley Johnson, "No team needs a player so badly that they're calling one of us. Unless they need another body for practice."

Johnson said the only other possible way a team from overseas would sign one of the Timberwolves is if they need someone to commit a bunch of fouls late in games in order to stop the clock.
