On Tuesday, in partnership with several basketball leagues, the NBA released the full game and broadcast schedules of teams from overseas—CSKA Moskow, Montepaschi Siena, Real Madrid and hundreds more—that you can watch during the upcoming lockout that could last all season.
"Fans can already look forward to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague qualifying rounds in late September," said NBA TV analyst Steve Smith, adding that he is really intrigued by the placement of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and Emporio Armani Milan in Group C once the Euroleague regular season gets underway in mid-October. "In November, a rematch of the Greek Men's A1 League final between Panathinaikos and Olympiakostips will be some high drama if you are lucky enough find the sports channel out of Athens that is sure to televise that one. It's probably available on the Greek A1 League Pass with DirecTV."
Other compelling story lines heading into the basketball season in Europe and include the possibility of FC Barcelona winning their 3rd Liga ACB championship in 4 years, what one would assume is a heated Brose Baskets-ALBA rivalry in Germany, and the likelihood of NBA players playing overseas actually getting paid on time, if at all.
