Keith Allison/FlickrFully expecting the team to go on a losing streak as soon as he makes plans to attend a game with his family, Charlie Vellerani of Baltimore thinks he'll probably hold off on buying Orioles tickets for now.

"I promise you, the second I shell out money to take my wife and kids to Camden Yards, the Orioles will start dropping games left and right," said Vellerani, adding that it in addition to purchasing tickets, it would be a total waste to pay for parking, souvenirs, and concessions, not to mention fighting traffic, just to watch a team that, in his opinion, is probably not that far from spiraling into their 4th consecutive last place finish. "It makes no sense to get your hopes up when you can see the team's collapse coming from a mile away."

Even though buying tickets will "inevitably trigger another disappointing season," Vellerani admits it could be fun to go watch the Baltimore Orioles while they are still in first place.
