I've come up with three reasons why the Maize and Blue are overachieving this season.
1. If there was one improvement that Michigan has made, it has to be the run game.
Their running backs have scored a combined nine rushing touchdowns in the last two games, six against Delaware State and three versus Iowa.
Hopefully, Brandon Minor will be able to stay healthy because he's the key to a successful run game.
2. Even though in some instances the Wolverines have played somewhat lackadaisical, they usually manage to fight back during crunch time. It does help knowing that freshmen quarterback Tate Forcier can put all the pressure on his shoulders and strive. Just ask Indiana and Notre Dame.
Are you sure this young man is a freshman?
3. Brandon Graham has been a beast against opposing offensive lineman and has mustered up 21 solo tackles along with 5 sacks. He's seemingly always around the ball and making big stops when needed.
Penn State might have a huge nightmare defending this guy.
